Hey there and welcome to phase 2 of my author website! The good news is that I remembered it exists. I’d say that’s a positive first step in this whole web presence journey. Here’s what I’m working on right now:

Writing: I’m working on drafting a psych thriller called THAT NEVER HAPPENED. It’s an interesting contrast in plotting and pantsing so far, as I wrote a synopsis and have managed to surprise myself as I work from plot point to plot point. I totally can’t write from an outline or it starts to feel like homework and my brain goes into sulky seventh grader mode. I DON’T WANT TO YOU CAN’T MAKE ME I WILL BLAST THE ROCK MUSIC INSTEAD

Publishing: My agent and I are getting ready to pitch my musical murder mystery book REGARDING JAMIE MAC to publishers. I’m equal parts thrilled and petrified to let my baby out into the world. This book is kind of a love letter to Teenage Me, who may also have dabbled in the world of 90s bootleg forums and made internet friends when that was still considered scary.

Reading: So many books on my TBR pile, and whenever I successfully remove one, another one magically takes its place. So it never actually gets smaller. Lately I’ve loved The Turn of the Key, by Ruth Ware, VE Schwab’s Shades of Magic series, and The Armor of Light, by Ken Follett. I’m excited to dig into the new Kristin Hannah book once I read the library hold that just came in. (Because of course I still check out insane numbers of library books.)
